Fisher CZ5 Quicksilver metal detector. no coil cover This is a older machine that searches deep. It operates on dual frequencies 5khz and 15khz making it very accurate on nickels and assigns them a high tone like all the other coins. It is a fun machine to use for this reason. I have pulled nickels at 8+ inches with ease. Most modern detectors struggle with the nickels at lessor depths. Coins air test at 9 to 11 inches before dropping down the scale in tone and ID. The pinpoint is very good and accurate and shows the depth using the needle and gauge. The target ID is pretty good too. I dug all repeatable (both directions) high tones and ignored the one way tones to avoid iron. I sure prefer this over digital numbers. It even has an overload tone for large and surface iron. This machine is solidly built and the weight of the control box is more than most modern machines but it can be belt mounted if necessary. This detector shows the usual signs of use but is in very good condition for it's age. A print out of the instruction manual will be included.
