Detector operates with stereo audio, ground balanced all-metal in one channel (ear) simultaneously with discrimination in the other. No headphones supplied with detector. Headphones are required for operation (detector has no built-in loudspeaker). Very solid construction with quality materials/parts used. DMC is an acronym for Dual Mode Circuit. Invented by Jerry Tyndall. Nautilus detectors are legendary among Civil War relic hunters since the 1970's.
