I have a Minelab Explorer 2 with stock 10" coil and coil cover and a 6" coil and coil cover for sale. Each coil has its own rod, the outer jacket on the small coil has deteriorated but has no effect on the function I wrapped electrical tape around it. The speaker works but the volume seems a bit low to me but I have no trouble hearing it. All of the functions work as they should.
