For sale: My trusty Garrett ADS II VLF metal detector. This has been a real “workhorse” for me and has located thousands of coins, relics and jewelry items for me over the years. I have taken excellent care of it and the control box looks to be almost new. Of course the search coil is somewhat dirty due to years of use. The detector works perfectly! It has been setup for hip-mounting if you prefer but you will need to locate an upper hip-mount pole and strap to use it that way. This detector operates at a low 5.5kHz frequency and thus loves finding older silver coins. These older Garrett’s are extremely well designed and built using very high quality electronic and mechanical components. I recently purchased a like-new Garrett ADS III and will no longer need this one. Don’t be fooled into thinking that this older Garrett is obsolete. It is still quite effect and still quite capable of finding many great items and coins. $150 plus shipping. A new metal detector protective carrybag will be included.
