In 1985 due to a lack of local dealers and lack of information on the hobby Windy City detectors was formed and has developed into a multi-line metal detecting dealership that has been servicing customers in the Chicago area and elsewhere with metal detectors for security, industry, and hobby as well as specialty equipment for serious treasure hunters.
